SUKAMADE TURTLE BEACH 2 DAY 1 NIGHT
Sukamade is part of the Meru Betiri National Park in East Java. For thousands of years it has provided an undisturbed breeding sanctuary for a few species of giant sea turtle that live in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Join us on an unforgettable adventure by jeep through plantations, jungle and rivers to this very remote location for the rare opportunity to see these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. This 2-day experience includes an overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Itinerary Sukamade Turtle Beach 2 Day 1 Night:
Day 1 Itinerary:
- 08.00 – Depart from the Meeting Point.
- 11.00 – Arrive at Meru Betiri National Park and trek to a hidden beach called Teluk Hijau (Green Bay).
- 12.00 – Enjoy lunch around the homestay.
- 13.00 – Continue on to Sukamade.
- 14.00 – Arrive at Sukamade breeding ground and take a rest at a guesthouse before the night activities.
- 18.00 – Dinner.
- 19.00 – Watch turtles arrive at the beach to lay their eggs. You may also be able to release some of the hatched turtles into the sea. In the morning after breakfast.
- 22.00 – Return to the guesthouse and overnight stay
Day 2 Itinerary:
- 07.00 – Breakfast
- 08.00 – Drive to Rajegwesi fishermen’s village to see the life of local people make their living by sailing and fishing on the open ocean.
- 09.00 – Depart from Rajegwesi fishermen’s village.
- 14.00 – Arrive back at the hotel.
